April 19th,
For those that can, we will be joining the New Beginnings Class from Cokesbury United Methodist Church as they serve dinner at the Ronald McDonald House. ( Lisa and I are members of that group) They asked if we would bring our bikes for the kids to enjoy. I asked for some volunteers a few months back and I hope that those who said you could, can still join us. Bring a digital camera to take pics of the kiddos as they marvel over our motorcycles. Last time, they really enjoyed the bikes and the House Manager at the RMH printed out 8X10 color pics for the kids. The little boy in the above pic was on his third heart transplant. I think he sat on every motorcycle. So, after the Wal Mart fund raiser, if you could join us at Cokesbury United Methodist Church at 5:15pm on Saturday, April 19th that would be great. The address is 10030 Scarsdale Blvd, Houston, Texas. We will roll at 5:31pm for the RMH. After the families and children have been served dinner, we have been invited to tag along and join the folks of the New Beginnings class for dinner at a local restaurant, TBA. So, if you are going, and know of a good place near there to eat, speak up now so we can get our vote in. Everyone will be responsible for their own meals. The food served at the RMH is for the children and families staying at the RMH. If you wish, you can jump in and help serve the familes while others man the motorcycles and cameras.
If your status has changed, please let me know. So far I have Jim Kramer, The Hewitts, Vern, Drew & Donna, Spongebob & Lisa, and Kelly.
This morning as the class discussed the RMH and the motorcycles as the entertainment, I told them that we would be pulling double duty that day. I told them how we were raising money for the PBTF and that if they could, drop by and support our fund raiser. The class decided right then to make a $100 donation for our cause and another person gave me a $50 check as well. They appreciate us bringing our bikes out for the Ronald McDonald House and I hope for that, we have a good turn out as well. Please email me at midlifecycles2@aol.com, if you have any questions about Wal Mart or the Ronald Mc Donald House events.
Thanks,
Spongebob
