Live to ride. Ride to eat.

About Us:

Mid-Life Cycles is a group of friends living in and around Houston Texas, who happen to have some things in common - one being motorcycles. Our love for riding brought us together, making the relationships with our friends and bikes even more meaningful. We travel near and far, enjoying great friends, beautiful sights and fun times.

MLC Rolls up to Jefferson, Texas and The Little Bake Shoppe

On November 10th, members of Mid Life Cycles will make their way to Jefferson, Texas for the weekend. Friday the 10th we will head north and enjoy the N.E. Texas roads and scenery as we get closer to our destination. Alot of this trip is becoming tradition for us. Like, having dinner at Auntie Skinner's and watching the kareoke that night. Saturday we will be visiting downtown Jefferson for a couple of hours before taking off on the back roads for mom and dad's and The Little Bake Shoppe. When we arrive my mom and dad will welcome us into the driveway where we will park our iron horses. Once we dismount, just about any kind of home made candy, pie, cake, and other treats will be available for our eating pleasure. You might want to call ahead if you would like to order something from mom's bakery. Her shop number is 903-5476091. Be sure and tell her you will be with MLC. Once we get our fill of goodiess, we retire to the back yard and hang out, play some games, visit and rest. Once mom has closed shop at 4 pm, we will mount up again and ride to Avinger, Texas and eat at the 5 D Meat Company. If conditions are right, we will follow behind mom and dad as they lead us on their Goldwing trike. After dinner, MLC heads back to the hotel, only a short 20 miles away. If they ride their trike, a couple of us will escort them back to their home, then ride back to Jefferson. Sunday, the 12th, we will mount up after breakfast and hit the back roads as we make our way back to the Houston area. We will be staying at The Inn of Jefferson. There are 10 rooms blocked out for MLC, but only until OCT.25th with a rate of $73.95 plus tax. Some can apply a different rate such as AARP, GOVT, AAA and others. To contact the Inn, call 903-665-3983. The Inn has a HOT Breakfast included in the price. Also, if you plan to go, please let me know as I am trying to keep a head count.
